KPV, also written as Ac-KPV-NH₂ in certain modified forms, is a short peptide based on the amino-acid sequence lysine–proline–valine. It is associated with the C-terminal region of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, commonly abbreviated as α-MSH.
In controlled laboratory environments, KPV-related compounds may be investigated in connection with peptide signaling, cellular-response pathways, inflammatory mediators, epithelial models, microbial interactions, and experimental tissue-response systems.
Full research description
Published research concerning inflammation, intestinal models, wound response, infection, collagen-related activity, or scar formation is predominantly preclinical. These findings do not establish safety, efficacy, appropriate dosage, or suitability for administration to humans or animals.
Claims that KPV treats inflammatory bowel disease, accelerates wound healing, prevents infection, reduces surgical scarring, or provides cosmetic benefits have been omitted because such statements could imply therapeutic, preventive, or human-use intent.
FDA states that it has not identified human-exposure data for drug products containing KPV administered by any route. The agency also states that it lacks important information needed to determine whether KPV could cause harm when administered to humans.
The designation KPV should not automatically be treated as analytically identical to Ac-KPV-NH₂. Acetylation, amidation, salt form, peptide sequence, purity, and molecular composition should be verified through appropriate batch-specific analytical documentation.
This material is not represented as an FDA-approved drug, cosmetic, medicine, treatment, or pharmaceutical ingredient suitable for administration.
Storage & handling
Before reconstitution. Keep the sealed vial cool and dark. Lyophilized peptides are stable this way for the period stated on the certificate.
Reconstitution. Add bacteriostatic water slowly against the inside wall of the vial. Swirl gently to dissolve — never shake, as agitation can damage the peptide chain.
After reconstitution. Store refrigerated and use within the window appropriate for the compound under study. Do not freeze once in solution.
Check that the batch code on the label matches your packing slip on arrival.
COA & testing
Every batch is analysed by an independent laboratory before it is listed. The method for this compound is HPLC-UV 214nm.
The certificate shows the main peak purity, the impurity profile, the test date and the laboratory that performed it — tied to the batch code printed on your vial.
