Kisspeptin-10 is a decapeptide corresponding to the C-terminal, receptor-active region of human kisspeptin. It is also described in scientific databases as human metastin 45–54 and has the molecular formula C₆₃H₈₃N₁₇O₁₄.

In controlled laboratory environments, Kisspeptin-10 may be investigated in connection with peptide–receptor binding, G-protein-coupled receptor signaling, calcium-dependent intracellular pathways, neuroendocrine signaling, and experimental hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal-axis models.
Published research has examined the interaction of Kisspeptin-10 with the kisspeptin receptor, commonly designated KISS1R. Experimental studies associate this receptor system with signaling pathways involving phospholipase C, intracellular calcium, protein kinase C, and upstream regulation of gonadotropin-releasing hormone activity.
Research has also evaluated Kisspeptin-10 in relation to gonadotropin signaling, reproductive endocrinology, and experimental fertility models. These findings do not establish that this independently supplied research material increases reproductive hormones, restores gonadal function, induces ovulation, treats infertility or hypogonadism, or improves assisted-reproduction outcomes in humans or animals.
Statements concerning specific increases in LH or FSH, clinical dosing, treatment of reproductive disorders, oocyte maturation, ovulation triggering, IVF protocols, or a safer alternative to established hormone treatments have therefore been omitted because such claims could imply therapeutic efficacy or intended human use.
Kisspeptin-10 is not an FDA-approved drug. FDA has identified Kisspeptin-10 among bulk substances nominated for compounding without adequate support and states that compounded products containing it may present immunogenicity, peptide-impurity, and active-ingredient-characterization concerns. FDA also reports limited safety-related information for human administration.
The terms Kisspeptin-10, KP-10, metastin 45–54, and Kisspeptin-10 salts such as the TFA form should not automatically be treated as analytically interchangeable. Sequence, counterion or salt form, purity, molecular identity, potency, and composition should be verified through appropriate batch-specific analytical documentation.
Storage & handling
Before reconstitution. Keep the sealed vial cool and dark. Lyophilized peptides are stable this way for the period stated on the certificate.
Reconstitution. Add bacteriostatic water slowly against the inside wall of the vial. Swirl gently to dissolve — never shake, as agitation can damage the peptide chain.
After reconstitution. Store refrigerated and use within the window appropriate for the compound under study. Do not freeze once in solution.
