AHK-Cu is a copper-coordinated complex of the tripeptide L-alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, commonly abbreviated as AHK. It is a distinct copper-peptide research compound and should not be confused with GHK-Cu, which contains glycine rather than alanine as its first amino-acid residue. PubChem identifies AHK-Cu as a copper complex with the molecular formula C₁₅H₂₄ClCuN₆O₄ for the listed hydrochloride form.

Published laboratory and preclinical investigations involving AHK-related copper complexes have explored cellular proliferation, gene-expression activity, hair-follicle models, extracellular-matrix processes, and copper-dependent biological pathways. These experimental findings do not establish that this research material promotes hair growth, improves skin, accelerates tissue repair, reduces aging, or provides any medical or cosmetic benefit in humans or animals.
Claims concerning hair restoration, wound healing, collagen production, anti-aging effects, skin rejuvenation, antioxidant protection, or treatment of any condition have therefore been omitted because such wording could imply therapeutic, cosmetic, or human-use intent.
The designation AHK-Cu may refer to different salt forms, copper-to-peptide ratios, hydration states, or molecular preparations. Product identity, amino-acid sequence, copper content, molecular form, purity, and composition should therefore be confirmed through appropriate batch-specific analytical documentation.
AHK-Cu should not be assumed to have the same composition, research profile, or regulatory status as GHK-Cu. FDA has specifically identified potential immunogenicity and peptide-impurity concerns for injectable compounded products containing GHK-Cu, but that assessment should not be automatically extrapolated as a substance-specific FDA determination for AHK-Cu.

Reconstitution. Add bacteriostatic water slowly against the inside wall of the vial. Swirl gently to dissolve — never shake, as agitation can damage the peptide chain.
After reconstitution. Store refrigerated and use within the window appropriate for the compound under study. Do not freeze once in solution.
